Cordelia Cruises operator posts Q2 profit turnaround

CORDELIA
Waterways Leisure Tourism, the company behind Cordelia Cruises, rose as much as 5 percent on Monday after it reported a sharp turnaround in its fiscal second-quarter results. The stock touched an intraday high of Rs 111 and was trading near Rs 106 in the afternoon, lifting its market capitalisation to around Rs 7,650 crore. The company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 58.49 crore for the quarter ended September 2026, reversing a loss of Rs 8.9 crore in the year-ago period. Revenue from operations climbed 30.9 percent year-on-year to Rs 132.9 crore, while EBITDA turned positive at Rs 9.7 crore against a previous loss of Rs 6.5 crore. A major driver of the headline profit was an exceptional gain of Rs 49.5 crore. Subsidiary Bay Cruise Investments received the amount under a September 1 agreement with Norwegian Sky Limited for facilitating the early delivery of the vessel Sky, which was handed over on September 10 instead of the scheduled September 30. Excluding this one-off item, underlying profitability would have been considerably lower.
