Enviro Infra Engineers shares surge nearly 10%

Shares of Enviro Infra Engineers jumped nearly 10 percent on Wednesday, hitting a one-month high of Rs 215. The rally came after the company announced that its step-down subsidiary, Suyog Urja, has secured a Rs 190-crore engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) turnkey contract from Tata Power Renewable Energy. The order is for a 180-MW NTPC wind power project located in Parli, Maharashtra. Under the contract, Suyog Urja will handle the supply of reinforcement steel, geotechnical work, and balance-of-plant operations. The scope also covers development of a fully equipped 39-acre storage yard, logistics coordination, construction of site roads, pathways and crane pads, along with work on a 33-kV transmission line. The positive news triggered gains across the broader water and infrastructure sector. Shares of VA Tech Wabag climbed nearly 7 percent to Rs 2,143.90, while Denta Water and Infra Solutions advanced about 2 percent to Rs 284.45.
