Gold-Linked Stocks Defy Softer Bullion Prices
Shares of MUTHOOTFIN e, Manappuram Finance, and HINDZINC tan Zinc rose up to 3% on Friday, bucking the trend of declining gold and silver prices in both domestic and international markets.
Muthoot Finance climbed 2.33% to ₹3,128.50, Manappuram Finance gained 2% to ₹339.10, and Hindustan Zinc advanced 2.83% to ₹543.45 on the BSE around 10:10 AM.
Spot gold slipped 0.11% to $4,136.20 per ounce, while spot silver fell 0.16% to $60.65 per ounce. Domestically, MCX gold futures dropped 0.28% and silver eased 0.17%.
Despite pressure from a stronger US dollar and cautious sentiment amid US-Iran developments, investor optimism supported these gold financing and mining stocks.
