Hindustan Zinc Shares Fall Amid Sharp Silver Price Correction

HINDZINC
c declined nearly 2-5% on January 7, 2026, hitting lows around Rs 599-630, as silver prices corrected sharply after touching lifetime highs. MCX silver futures dropped Rs 3,000-8,000 per kg within sessions, with March contracts falling to around Rs 247,000-250,000/kg from peaks above Rs 259,000/kg. Silver ETFs in India also mirrored the decline, falling up to 3%, reflecting profit-booking in the precious and industrial metal. Hindustan Zinc, India's largest silver producer with 99.9% purity refined output, remains sensitive to silver price movements amid ongoing volatility. Despite the pullback, the medium-term outlook for silver stays positive due to industrial demand and supply constraints.
