Consumer, the parent company of popular beauty and personal care brand Mamaearth, witnessed its shares jump 12% today after reporting a robust 13% year-on-year (YoY) increase in revenue from operations for the March quarter. The company's revenue reached Rs 533.5 crore in Q4, up from Rs 471 crore in the same period last year and Rs 517.5 crore in the previous quarter.
This significant growth stands out in a quarter where many fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies have reported only single-digit topline expansion. The impressive performance signals a strong recovery for Honasa Consumer following its offline restructuring, which commenced in the July-September 2024 quarter.
The company had previously faced a challenging September quarter, posting a loss of Rs 18.5 crore in Q2 FY25. This downturn was attributed to inventory corrections necessitated by its transition to a direct-to-consumer (D2C) distribution model, part of its Project 'Neev'. The latest Q4 results suggest that these strategic adjustments are now yielding positive outcomes, positioning Honasa Consumer for renewed growth.#StockInNews#WatchOutFor#Budget2025
