IDBI Bank reported robust growth in its provisional business figures for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, with total business rising 18% year-on-year to ₹6.27 lakh crore. The milestone marks the first time the lender’s combined deposits and advances have surpassed the ₹6 lakh crore mark.
Total deposits climbed 17% to ₹3.56 lakh crore, while net advances expanded 18% to ₹2.72 lakh crore. Low-cost CASA deposits also grew 12% to around ₹1.56 lakh crore, supporting the overall deposit base.
The strong top-line expansion comes against a backdrop of margin pressure. In the preceding June quarter, net interest margin, CASA ratio and operating profit had shown declines, reflecting industry-wide competition for deposits and higher funding costs. Full Q2 financial results, including profitability metrics, are awaited.#StockInNews#WatchOutFor
