Indian IT stocks surged on Friday, with the Nifty IT index climbing over 1.6%

Accenture delivered strong Q2 performance, including top-end revenue growth, record deal bookings, and an upward revision in its full-year growth guidance to 3-5% in local currency (improved visibility and steady momentum). Brokerages viewed this as a sign of stabilizing global IT demand rather than slowdown, with AI tailwinds providing further optimism for the sector. Heavyweights led the rally:

TCS
and
INFY
rose 1-2% each, while midcaps shone brighter—Tech Mahindra jumped 2.9%, Persistent Systems and Oracle Financial Services gained around 2.7%, and Coforge, Mphasis, HCLTech, and Wipro advanced 1-2%. LTIMindtree bucked the trend, declining 2.6%.
