IndiGo Shares Drop 1% as DGCA Forces 10% Capacity Cut
INDIGO shares fell nearly 1% to ₹4,769.5 on NSE after the airline slashed its Q3 outlook following a DGCA directive to reduce 10% of its domestic winter schedule due to recent mass cancellations.
The carrier now expects Q3 capacity growth in high single to low double-digits (down from high teens) and a mid-single-digit decline in passenger unit revenue (versus earlier flat-to-slight growth guidance).
The move comes after IndiGo cancelled over 2,000 flights last week due to pilot roster issues, stranding thousands of passengers. The capacity cut will also impact Q4, with fresh guidance to follow.
