IndusInd Bank Reports Strong Q1FY27 Performance with 47% Profit Surge

Private sector lender $INDUSINDBK k delivered a robust set of results for the first quarter of FY27, with standalone net profit jumping 47% year-on-year to Rs 1,003 crore, up from Rs 684 crore in the same period last year. The impressive growth was primarily driven by lower provisions for bad loans and improved operational efficiency. Asset quality showed marked improvement, with Gross NPA declining to 3.25% from 3.64% and Net NPA falling to 0.95% from 1.12% in Q1FY26. Net Interest Margin (NIM) expanded to 3.57% from 3.46%, reflecting better margin management despite a modest 1% rise in Net Interest Income to Rs 4,685 ***** & CEO Rajiv Anand highlighted the bank’s focus on disciplined growth, franchise expansion in retail, SME, and rural segments, and technology investments. Advances grew sequentially by 3.3%, while the bank maintained strong capital adequacy at 17.15%. Shares closed nearly 1% higher at Rs 1,072.
