JSW Energy Q1 FY26: Net Profit Surges 42%, Revenue Up 78%

y Ltd reported a robust Q1 FY26 performance, with consolidated net profit rising 42% year-on-year to ₹743 crore, up from ₹522 crore in Q1 FY25. The growth was driven by renewable energy capacity additions and contributions from the Mahanadi plant and O2 Power acquisition. Total revenue soared 78% to ₹5,411 crore from ₹3,043 crore, fueled by organic capacity growth and strategic acquisitions. EBITDA nearly doubled to ₹2,789 crore, with a margin of 54.2%, up from 49.2% last year. Net electricity generation increased 71% to 13.5 billion units, supported by 1,893 MW of new capacity, including 1,343 MW from O2 Power and 550 MW of organic renewable additions, bringing the total installed capacity to 12,768 MW, a 70% year-on-year increase. The Mahanadi plant contributed ₹867 crore to EBITDA, while O2 Power, consolidated since April 9, 2025, added ₹219 crore. The company signed 605 MW of new PPAs during the quarter and 450 MW post-quarter, with 13 GW under construction and a locked-in capacity of 30.3 GW. JSW Energy aims for 30 GW generation and 40 GWh storage by FY2030.
