JSWINFRA
ucture shares surged nearly 7% on Monday after the company incorporated a wholly-owned special purpose vehicle (SPV), JSW Kolkata Outer Harbour Container Terminal. The move marks the formal start of a Rs 832.25 crore investment at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port in Kolkata.
The project involves developing the Outer Container Terminal and modernising Berths 1–5 at Netaji Subhas Dock under a 30-year DBFOT concession. It is expected to add 0.93 million TEUs of annual container capacity, significantly boosting Kolkata Port’s handling capabilities.
This development comes on the back of strong investor interest. Last month, the Sajjan Jindal-promoted firm’s QIP attracted bids worth over Rs 50,350 crore—nearly seven times the issue size. The stock has gained 19% in the past month, reflecting confidence in JSW Infra’s expansion plans towards 400 MTPA capacity by FY30.#WatchOutFor#StockInNews
