KEC International Secures ₹1,014 Crore T&D Orders

KEC
KEC International, the RPG Group’s global infrastructure EPC major, has bagged fresh orders worth ₹1,014 crore in its India transmission and distribution (T&D) business. The wins include the company’s first order to set up a 765 kV transmission line for evacuating power from a pumped storage plant (PSP) in western India. The prestigious contract, secured from an existing client, underscores KEC’s expanding role in supporting renewable energy infrastructure. Pumped storage plants are critical for grid stability as India scales up intermittent solar and wind capacity, and the high-voltage line will help integrate this storage-backed power into the network. With these orders, KEC’s year-to-date order intake has crossed ₹9,600 crore, reflecting strong momentum in the domestic T&D segment. Managing Director and CEO Vimal Kejriwal called the PSP project an important milestone for the T&D business, noting that it aligns with the growing power infrastructure needs of the renewables sector.
