Nestle India Q2 Earnings Preview: Modest Growth Amid GST Headwinds and Margin Squeeze

NESTLEIND
ia, the maker of Maggi noodles and a host of popular FMCG brands, is set to unveil its Q2 FY26 results today, with analysts forecasting tepid sales growth overshadowed by GST rationalization disruptions and rising input costs. A Moneycontrol survey of six brokerages projects a 4% year-on-year revenue increase to Rs 5,307 crore for the July-September quarter, up from Rs 5,104 crore last year. Net profit is anticipated at around Rs 729 crore, reflecting low-single-digit top-line expansion hampered by weak performance in beverages, milk products, and nutrition segments, plus transitional supply chain hiccups from GST rate cuts. The GST overhaul, affecting 85-90% of Nestle's non-dairy portfolio, is expected to drag domestic revenue growth by as much as 425 basis points due to trade destocking, per Kotak Institutional Equities. While urban demand shows signs of recovery post-slowdown, the company's heavy reliance on city markets could cap volume gains at 1-3%, brokerages noted.
