Patanjali Group Signs MoU with Russian Government to Expand Wellness and Ayurveda Footprint

Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev-led Patanjali Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Russian government, marking a significant step toward the company’s global expansion. The agreement, signed with representatives of President Vladimir Putin’s administration, will pave the way for Patanjali’s entry into Russia. According to the company’s statement, the MoU focuses on promoting health and wellness, boosting health tourism, facilitating the exchange of skilled professionals, and strengthening research collaborations between India and Russia. The pact was signed by Baba Ramdev on behalf of the Patanjali Group and Sergey Cheremin, Chairman of the Indo-Russia Business Council and Russia’s Minister of Commerce. Patanjali, founded by Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna, has grown into a major Indian conglomerate with a strong presence in Ayurvedic, FMCG, and natural health products through entities like Patanjali Ayurved and

Calling the partnership a strategic global milestone, Ramdev said the group aims to take “the wellness science of the sages” to nearly 200 countries, with Russia becoming a key gateway for international outreach. He added that the MoU’s key objectives include expanding Patanjali’s wellness services in Russia and sharing India’s cultural and spiritual heritage — including yoga and Ayurveda — with the country. The collaboration is expected to enhance India-Russia cooperation in traditional health systems while opening new opportunities for Patanjali in global markets.
