Max Financial Services shares rose nearly 5% to touch a fresh 52-week high of ₹1,715.20, even as the company reported a steep decline in profit and revenue for the September quarter. Meanwhile, Aavas Financiers shares jumped 8%, climbing to a three-month high of ₹1,748.70 amid strong investor sentiment in the financial services space. Max Financial Services Q2 FY26 Performance Max Financial reported a consolidated net profit of ₹4.12 crore for Q2 FY26 — a sharp 96% year-on-year (YoY) drop from ₹112.56 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations also saw a significant 27% YoY decline, coming in at ₹9,792 crore compared to ₹13,371.86 crore in Q2 FY25. However, despite the weak top- and bottom-line figures, management highlighted strong operational metrics, with the Value of New Business (VNB) — a key profitability indicator in the insurance sector — rising 27% YoY in the first half of FY26 (April–September). Brokerages remained positive on the stock, citing steady growth in new business margins and improving distribution efficiency through its insurance subsidiary.
