Reliance Outlines Ambitious Green Energy and Sustainability Roadmap at AGM

$RELIANCE tries has unveiled a comprehensive green energy and sustainability strategy during its Annual General Meeting, reinforcing its commitment to a low-carbon future. The company’s New Energy business aims to generate 2 lakh green jobs through its upcoming Giga Complex and Kutch Solar Farm projects. These mega initiatives are expected to significantly boost India’s renewable energy capacity and create large-scale employment in the green sector. Meanwhile, Reliance’s Oil to Chemicals (O2C) business has set an ambitious target to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 — two decades ahead of India’s national goal of 2070. The company plans to gradually shift from traditional oil refining towards manufacturing chemicals and advanced materials.
