SBI Q1 Results: Profit Beats Estimates, Shares Rally
SBIN k of India reported a strong performance for the April-June quarter of FY27, with net profit rising 10.2% year-on-year to Rs 21,121 crore. The figure comfortably beat Street estimates of around Rs 19,145 crore.
Net interest income grew 15% to Rs 46,992 crore, also surpassing expectations. Asset quality improved, with gross NPAs easing to 1.47% and net NPAs to 0.38%. Gross advances rose 18.6% year-on-year, while the bank’s overall business crossed Rs 110 lakh ***** net interest margin stood at 3%, and the capital adequacy ratio strengthened to 15.67%
