Six firms declare special dividends in FY26

Several listed companies rewarded investors with special dividends during FY26, highlighting strong cash positions and one-time gains.

TCS
Tata Consultancy Services, JSW Dulux (formerly Akzo Nobel India), Indo Borax & Chemicals, Premco Global, Majestic Auto and Honda India Power Products stood out with extra payouts ranging from ₹10 to ₹156 per share. Combined with regular dividends, total FY26 distributions spanned ₹40 to ₹236 per share. Share-price reactions varied. Some stocks showed gains over longer periods while others faced near-term pressure, underscoring that special dividends often reflect temporary surplus cash rather than ongoing earnings strength. Investors tracking high-yield or cash-rich names continue to watch such announcements closely, as they can enhance returns even when capital appreciation remains uneven.
