SJVN Reports Strong Q3 Performance: Net Profit Surges 51% to ₹224 Crore, Interim Dividend Declared

State-owned power producer

SJVN
Ltd announced robust financial results for the third quarter ended December 31, 2025, with consolidated net profit rising nearly 51% year-on-year to ₹224.31 crore. This marks a significant improvement from ₹148.75 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The growth was primarily driven by higher revenues, with total income climbing to ₹1,124.47 crore from ₹760.76 crore in the year-ago period, reflecting stronger operational performance and possibly contributions from new projects. In a board meeting held today, SJVN also declared an interim dividend of ₹1.15 per equity share for the financial year 2025-26. The record date for the dividend has been set for February 20, 2026, with payment to be made within the statutory timeline under the Companies Act, 2013. Additionally, the board approved raising funds up to ₹1,000 crore through the issuance of unsecured, rated, taxable, redeemable, non-convertible, non-cumulative debentures on a private placement basis. This move is expected to support the company's ongoing expansion and project development in the power sector. The positive results have been well-received in the market, with SJVN shares showing gains following the announcement. As a Navratna CPSE focused on hydroelectric and renewable energy, SJVN continues to strengthen its position in India's power generation landscape.
