SoftBank Sells 3.25% Stake in Lenskart for Rs 2,873 Crore

$LENSKART SoftBank Vision Fund II Lightbulb has offloaded 56.5 million shares of Lenskart in a large block deal, fetching Rs 2,873 crore. The transaction represents a 3.25% stake in the eyewear unicorn and brings down SoftBank’s holding in the company to 9.88%. The shares were bought by a mix of domestic mutual funds and foreign institutional investors, indicating continued strong institutional confidence in Lenskart’s growth story. Lenskart, one of India’s fastest-growing omnichannel eyewear brands, has expanded aggressively in recent years with a wide network of stores and a robust online platform. The block deal reflects SoftBank’s partial profit-booking while the company prepares for a potential public listing in the near future.
