Sona BLW Shares Surge on Joint Venture with China's JNT for Driveline Systems

Shares of Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd. (Sona Comstar) soared over 3% to ₹496.5 during morning trade on July 21, following the announcement of a strategic joint venture with China-based Jinnaite Machinery Co. Ltd. (JNT). The partnership aims to manufacture and supply driveline systems for automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in China and global markets. The company’s board has approved a binding term sheet and authorized executives to finalize the shareholder agreement for the joint venture, which is set to commence operations in the second half of FY26. The collaboration will focus on producing driveline systems for both electric vehicles (EVs) and internal combustion engine (ICE) platforms, aligning with the growing demand for advanced automotive components.
