Indian equity markets are set for a cautious start today, with key stocks drawing attention due to earnings releases, corporate developments, and regulatory updates. Here’s a look at the top stocks to watch on April 17, based on recent market updates.

HEROMOTOCO
: The two-wheeler giant announced a temporary production halt at four plants—Dharuhera, Gurugram, Haridwar, and Neemrana—from April 17 to 19 for supply alignment. Its Tirupati and Halol facilities will continue operations, with no impact on retail demand fulfillment.
INFY
: The IT major is set to release its Q4 FY25 earnings today, with investors eyeing revenue guidance and margin performance amid global IT spending concerns. Expectations are for modest revenue growth of 0.8% YoY to ₹22,504 crore.
ULTRACEMCO
: The cement leader will acquire a 26% stake in AMPIN C&I Power Eight for ₹25 crore to meet green energy needs, aligning with regulatory captive power norms. This strategic move may boost investor confidence. Zydus Life & Lupin: Both pharma firms face pressure after a US court upheld Astellas Pharma’s Myrbetriq patent, delaying their generic launches. Lupin’s stock may see volatility pending a 2026 jury trial.
SBICARD
: The company partnered with Tata Digital to launch the Tata Neu SBI Card, targeting premium shoppers. This move may enhance its market reach. Waaree Renewable Technologies: The company reported a 77% YoY PAT surge to ₹125.18 crore and 32.26% revenue growth to ₹476.58 crore in Q4 FY25, driven by strong renewable energy demand. Other Stocks: Sonata Software warned of reduced Q4 international revenue from its top client. Angel One reported a 48.7% YoY profit drop to ₹174.5 crore. IRFC saw a favorable Madras High Court ruling, setting aside a ₹230.55 crore tax demand. GTPL Hathway, Prestige Estates, Petronet LNG, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Tata Steel, Ballarpur Industries, SML Isuzu, and Karnataka Bank are also in focus due to earnings, appointments, or regulatory updates.
