Swiggy Shuts Down Snacc: 10-15 Minute Food Delivery Experiment Ends Amid Profit Challenges

Bengaluru-based food delivery giant

SWIGGY
has shut down Snacc, its dedicated app for ultra-fast 10-15 minute food deliveries, less than a year after its launch in January 2025. The decision was communicated via an internal email to employees on February 19, 2026, citing emerging product-market fit but unsustainable broader economics and scaling difficulties. "While the product market fit was emerging, the broader economics made it challenging to scale. We want to concentrate all our energies on innovation that drives stronger long-term potential," the email stated, as reviewed by Moneycontrol and other outlets. Snacc operated through centralized dark stores or hubs, focusing on quick items like snacks, beverages, breakfast, and ready-to-eat meals, separate from Swiggy's main platform. The move highlights intense competition and profitability pressures in the hyper-fast food delivery segment, where rivals like Blinkit's Bistro (reporting heavy losses of ~Rs 150 crore with low sales in a similar period) and Zepto Cafe have also struggled.
