Tata Steel Reports Flat Production, Marginal Delivery Dip in Q1 FY26

TATASTEEL
l announced its Q1 FY26 business update, revealing stable crude steel production in India at 5.26 million tons, unchanged year-on-year for the quarter ended June 30, 2025. However, delivery volumes in India declined by approximately 4% YoY, dropping to 4.75 million tons from 4.94 million tons in the same period last year. The company attributed this dip to maintenance-related shutdowns at its Jamshedpur plant (G Blast Furnace reline) and Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL), which impacted finished goods production. Meanwhile, Tata Steel's Dutch arm reported a marginal 2% YoY increase in delivery volumes, reaching 1.50 million tons. The company continues to navigate operational challenges while maintaining steady production levels.
