Tata Steel Shares Jump 3% After Stellar Q2 Results

shares gained over 3% in early trade on November 13, after the steel giant reported a sharp improvement in its quarterly performance driven by strong demand in key markets and improved operating efficiencies. The stock opened at ₹184 per share, reacting positively to the company’s robust Q2 FY26 earnings announced post-market hours on Wednesday. Q2 FY26 Highlights Tata Steel reported a consolidated net profit of ₹3,102 crore for the July–September quarter, marking a massive 272% year-on-year (YoY) surge from ₹833 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations: ₹58,689 crore, up 9% YoY from ₹53,905 crore. EBITDA (consolidated): ₹9,106 crore, up 46% YoY, reflecting better margins and higher realizations. EBITDA margin: Improved to 15.5% versus 11.8% YoY, supported by higher volumes and cost optimization measures.
