Telecom Stocks Decline After UBS Downgrade

ne Idea Ltd and el Ltd fell over 2% on Friday, July 11, 2025, following a downgrade by international brokerage UBS. Citing expensive valuations, UBS revised its ratings ahead of the telecom sector's earnings results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025. Bharti Airtel's rating was downgraded from 'neutral' to 'sell' with a price target of Rs 1,970, while Vodafone Idea's rating was lowered from 'buy' to 'neutral' with a target of Rs 8.5 per share. As a result, UBS no longer holds any buy-rated stocks in the Indian telecom sector.
