Trent Q3 FY26: Net Profit Rises 3% YoY to ₹510 Cr, Revenue Up 15%; Shares Gain 2%

TRENT
Ltd., the Tata Group's fashion and lifestyle retail arm, reported a modest 3% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹510.11 crore for Q3 FY26 (October-December 2025), up from ₹496.54 crore in the year-ago period. Revenue from operations jumped 15% YoY to ₹5,345.06 crore from ₹4,656.56 crore, driven by strong performance in Westside and Zudio formats, festive demand boost post-tax cuts, and aggressive store expansion (65 new stores added in the quarter). The profit growth was tempered by a one-time exceptional net loss of ₹26.11 crore related to the implementation of new Labour Codes. Brokerages offered mixed views: While margins showed improvement and network expansion remains on track, concerns persist over moderated same-store sales growth (SSSG) momentum amid potential competitive pressures and store overlaps. Trent shares traded up around 2% on Thursday following the results announcement, reflecting investor appreciation for the topline resilience despite the modest bottom-line rise.
