Triveni Turbine Shares Drop 9% on Weak Q1 Performance

TRITURBINE
Triveni Turbine’s share price tumbled 9% to Rs 540 on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, following a disappointing Q1 FY26 performance driven by order delays and export weakness. The turbine manufacturer faced operational challenges attributed to geopolitical uncertainties, which disrupted inspections and deferred order dispatches to future quarters. The company reported a 20% year-on-year decline in consolidated revenue, falling to Rs 371.3 crore from Rs 463.3 crore in the same quarter last year. Both business segments struggled, with domestic revenue dropping 24% to Rs 188.2 crore and export revenue declining 15% to Rs 183.1 crore. The subdued performance in exports, including equipment and aftermarket services, was compounded by a high base from the previous year, which benefited from large export orders. Despite the revenue contraction, other income grew 14% year-on-year to Rs 22.2 crore, offering some relief. The company also saw a marginal improvement in gross margin, rising 32 basis points to 52.17%. However, operating metrics weakened significantly, with EBITDA falling 23% to Rs 73.6 crore and margins contracting by 81 basis points to 19.8%. Net profit mirrored the downturn, declining 20% to Rs 64.4 crore.
