Star climbed as much as 4% on Tuesday after Skymet Weather predicted intense heatwave conditions to persist across India until the first week of June. The weather agency noted that the first half of May remained cooler due to widespread rains, but temperatures are now set to spike sharply, reaching up to 45°C in northwest India this week.
Jatin Singh, Founder & Chairman of Skymet Weather, said the shift to extreme heat is expected to drive strong demand for air conditioners, coolers, and refrigeration products in the coming weeks.
Delhi has already issued a yellow alert as heatwave conditions intensify. Market analysts believe sustained high temperatures will boost sales for cooling appliance makers, supporting the positive momentum in their stocks.
