Waterways Leisure Tourism Shares Adjust for 1:10 Stock Split

CORDELIA
Shares of Waterways Leisure Tourism, the operator of Cordelia Cruises, adjusted for a 1:10 stock split on Tuesday, August 25, the ex-date for the corporate action. The company had set August 25 as the ex-date and August 26 as the record date. Post-adjustment, the stock traded at ₹105.70 on the NSE, up 1.29% from the adjusted price. It had closed at ₹1,043.60 in the previous session. The sharp drop in the quoted price reflects the split and does not indicate a loss in shareholder value. Under the split, each equity share of face value ₹10 was divided into 10 shares of face value ₹1. A holding of one share worth around ₹1,000 becomes 10 shares worth roughly ₹100 each, keeping the overall investment value largely unchanged. Market capitalisation remains the same even as the number of outstanding shares rises. The lower per-share price is expected to improve accessibility for retail investors and could boost liquidity and trading volumes. Chairman, Executive Director and CEO Jurgen Bailom called the split “an important milestone” that makes participation in the company’s growth more accessible to a wider investor base.
