Websol Energy System Shares Rise 2% on Andhra Pradesh's Approval for Massive 4 GW Solar Cell & Module Project

gy System Ltd climbed over 2% in early trading today, reaching an intraday high near ₹84.89 (up ₹1.74 or 2.09% from previous close), after the Andhra Pradesh government granted official approval for the company's ambitious greenfield 4 GW solar cell and 4 GW solar module manufacturing facility. The project, to be developed through its subsidiary Websol Renewable Private Limited, represents a total investment of approximately ₹3,538 crore and will be executed in phases over 120 acres at the MPSEZ Naidupeta in Tirupati district. This marks a significant step forward following the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) on November 15, 2025.
