Shares of Welspun Corp soared as much as 17% on Friday, hitting a fresh 52-week high after the company bagged its largest-ever single order worth ₹17,200 crore (nearly $1.8 billion). The stock touched ₹2,348.90 on the NSE before settling at ₹2,291.20, up 14.26%.
The order, for supply of pipes from its US manufacturing facility, will be executed in FY2028 and FY2029. With this win, Welspun Corp’s global order book has climbed to a record ₹42,100 crore, the highest in its history, offering strong multi-year revenue visibility.
The deal significantly strengthens the company’s position in the North American energy infrastructure market, where it has been expanding manufacturing capabilities.
