YES Bank reported strong second-quarter results for the period ended September 30, 2026, with standalone net profit rising 65% year-on-year to ₹1,080 crore, up from ₹654 crore in the same quarter last year. Consolidated net profit stood at ₹1,084 crore.
Net interest income grew 22.7% to ₹2,822 crore, driven by healthy loan and deposit expansion. Advances rose 23.7% to ₹3.10 lakh crore, while deposits increased 19.5% to ₹3.54 lakh crore. Other income climbed 14.4% to ₹1,882 crore, and operating profit rose 29.4% to ₹1,678 crore. Provisions fell 24% to ₹317 crore. Net interest margin improved slightly to 2.6% from 2.5% a year earlier.
Asset quality remained stable and improved, with gross NPA declining to 1.2% from 1.3% in the previous quarter and 1.6% year-on-year. Net NPA stayed at 0.2%.
However, the results do not include the potential impact of a Supreme Court ruling on the bank’s 2020 write-down of ₹8,415 crore in AT-1 bonds. Pro-forma calculations show this could turn the quarterly profit into a loss of ₹5,217 crore. The bank is evaluating the implications and legal options.
MD & CEO Vinay Tonse highlighted steady performance supported by core income growth and better asset quality.#WatchOutFor#StockInNews
