Apollo Micro Systems: ₹80.84 Crore Order Win

(AMS) has secured fresh orders worth ₹808.38 million (₹80.84 crore) from a diversified set of customers, including defence PSUs, state government departments and private industries. The order inflow reinforces the company’s growing presence across India’s defence electronics and strategic engineering ecosystem. The latest award is in addition to the ₹134.34 crore of orders announced in July 2026 from DRDO, the Indian Navy, defence PSUs, a state government and private-sector industries. * Strategic significance: The order win is positive for AMS as government and defence customers remain key growth drivers for indigenous defence technology. The company specialises in designing and manufacturing electronic, electromechanical and engineering systems for missiles, naval platforms, weapons and other strategic applications. Its business model involves developing customised systems and subsequently scaling up production once products clear development and testing stages. * Strong defence-sector tailwinds: Apollo Micro Systems is positioned to benefit from India’s increasing emphasis on Aatmanirbhar Bharat and domestic defence procurement. The company’s investor presentation highlights the government’s push toward higher indigenous procurement and increased participation of private defence manufacturers. For FY2026-27, the Ministry of Defence has a budget allocation of about ₹7.8 lakh crore, with ₹2.19 lakh crore earmarked for defence capital outlay. * Improving order-flow momentum: The latest win adds to a series of contracts secured by AMS during 2026. In May, the company received ₹51.03 crore of orders from the Ministry of Defence, defence PSUs and private companies, while in July it announced another ₹134.34 crore order win. It also received ₹34.09 crore of additional orders on July 31, including ₹11.01 crore from DRDO and ₹22.57 crore from a defence PSU.
