HONASA CONSUMER – Bets on Newer Brands & Categories; Targets ₹100 Cr Franchises
* $HONASA is shifting towards a category-led, multi-brand growth strategy, with greater focus on building newer brands and scaling high-potential categories rather than relying predominantly on Mamaearth. The company plans to enter newer beauty & personal-care spaces, including fragrance through FIKN, while continuing to strengthen its presence in core categories such as face wash, sunscreen, serums, shampoos and moisturisers. Honasa currently identifies a large whitespace across India’s BPC market, with several category-partitions still open for expansion. * Management is targeting multiple ₹100-crore-plus franchises over the next 2–3 years, using hero products and focused category expansion as key growth levers. The strategy is already showing traction: Mamaearth’s Rice Face Wash has crossed the ₹100-crore ARR milestone, while The Derma Co has reached around ₹750 crore ARR and established itself as a leading sunscreen brand. Honasa’s focus categories contributed 80%+ of revenue in Q4FY26, up 500 bps YoY, indicating increasing concentration on scalable categories. The move could diversify Honasa’s growth beyond Mamaearth, create multiple large brands/categories and improve operating leverage as successful franchises scale. However, the key monitorable will be whether newer launches such as FIKN can achieve meaningful consumer traction without requiring disproportionately high marketing spends. Honasa reported ₹682 crore Q4FY26 revenue and ₹77 crore EBITDA, suggesting the company is entering this expansion phase from a stronger profitability base.
