Navi Mumbai International Airport - Expansion
Adani’s Navi Mumbai International Airport is stepping up its cargo expansion with plans for around 13 new freighter routes, beginning with a Hong Kong connection. The initiative aims to position NMIA as a major international air-cargo hub for western India, supported by an initial cargo-handling capacity of around 0.5 million tonnes annually, expandable to 2.6 million tonnes. The airport is also attracting major logistics players, including FedEx, which plans to invest over ₹2,500 crore in a fully automated cargo hub. With Mumbai airport temporarily restricting freighter operations, NMIA could benefit from diverted cargo traffic while building long-term international freight connectivity. $ADANIENT
