Oswal Pumps secures ₹297.5 Crore Telangana Solar Order

has received a Letter of Intent from Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation Limited (TGREDCO/TREDCL) for a large-scale rooftop solar project covering 9,937 government schools across all 33 districts of Telangana. The project has an aggregate capacity of 46,705 kW (46.7 MW) and carries a total value of approximately ₹297.50 crore, including GST. The value excluding GST is reported at around ₹273.19 crore. Under the project, Oswal Pumps will undertake the design, supply, installation and commissioning of 2 kW, 5 kW and 10 kW on-grid rooftop solar PV systems, depending on the requirements of individual schools. The contract also includes five years of comprehensive maintenance, providing the company with an extended post-installation service component. The installation work is expected to be completed within 180 days from receipt of the work order. With nearly 10,000 schools spread across Telangana, the project represents a sizeable execution requirement and provides Oswal Pumps with an opportunity to expand its presence in the state's renewable-energy market. The company has described this as its first major order from Telangana, marking an entry into a new geographical market. Strategically, the order strengthens Oswal Pumps' exposure beyond its traditional solar-pump business into distributed rooftop solar infrastructure and turnkey renewable-energy projects. The five-year maintenance component could additionally provide recurring service-related activity after the initial installation phase. Overall, the order is significant for Oswal Pumps because of its size, large number of installations, entry into Telangana and combination of EPC execution with long-term maintenance.
