Bikaji Foods International Ltd. has reported a strong financial performance for the second quarter ending September 30, 2025, demonstrating significant growth across key metrics and enhanced profitability despite transitory market headwinds.
Key Financial Highlights (YOY):
Net Profit: The company recorded a 15.5% year-on-year increase in net profit, reaching ₹79.7 crore compared to ₹69 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Revenue from Operations: Top-line growth was robust, with revenue climbing 15.9% YoY to ₹814.9 crore (from ₹703.4 crore in Q2 FY25). The company also posted strong sequential growth of 24.9% over Q1 FY26 (₹652.6 crore).
EBITDA & Margin Expansion: Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) grew by an impressive 25.6% YoY to ₹112.7 crore. This growth was accompanied by a significant 110 basis point expansion in the EBITDA margin, which improved to 13.8% from 12.7% a year earlier, underscoring enhanced operational efficiency.
Operational Performance and Management Commentary:
The company's retail segment was a key growth driver, with revenue expanding by 279.5% YoY as the store count increased from 5 to 21 during the year.
Management stated that this strong performance was achieved despite a temporary headwind in September, which saw distributor de-stocking ahead of a planned GST rate revision. This event primarily caused a short-term impact in core states, despite strong momentum in the first two months of the quarter.
The management confirmed that demand has since normalised post-quarter. It was further clarified that excluding this one-time impact, the core salty snacks business would have achieved high single-digit growth, reflecting sustained category momentum.#StockInNews#FundamentalViews#Post-ClosingCommentary#SectorBreakouts#EquityResearch
