Eicher Motors Ltd. - Q2 FY26 Financial Performance Review

EICHERMOT
Eicher Motors Ltd. announced its financial results for the second quarter (Q2) ending September 30, 2025, revealing a mixed performance characterized by robust top-line growth offset by margin pressures. Key Financial Highlights (YoY) Revenue from Operations: The company achieved significant revenue growth of 45% year-over-year (YoY) to ₹6,176 crore. This performance was strong and marginally exceeded consensus estimates (₹6,132 crore). EBITDA: Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) grew 39% YoY to ₹1,513 crore, which was broadly in-line with market expectations (₹1,516 crore). Net Profit: Reported Net Profit saw a 24.5% YoY increase to ₹1,369 crore. However, this figure fell short of the consensus poll, which had projected a net profit of ₹1,451 crore. Operational Performance & Margin Analysis The company's strong revenue was driven by significant volume expansion, particularly in its motorcycle division. Royal Enfield (RE) Volumes: The RE segment was the primary growth engine, posting a 43% YoY increase in volumes. It also registered strong 23% sequential growth. Commercial Vehicle (CV) Volumes: The CV segment reported a 6% YoY volume increase, though volumes remained flat on a sequential basis. Despite the strong operational leverage from higher volumes, the EBITDA margin experienced a contraction of 100 basis points (bps) YoY, settling at 24.5% (compared to 25.5% in Q2 FY25). This was also slightly below the 24.7% estimate. The company attributed this margin pressure to two key factors: An inferior product mix during the quarter. Persistently high raw material costs. Market & Stock Performance The market reacted to the bottom-line miss and the margin compression. Following the results announcement on November 13, the stock declined by as much as 2% in intra-day trading. Notwithstanding this immediate correction, the stock has delivered a strong year-to-date return in 2025, appreciating nearly 40%.
