Godrej Group Entity Plans Third Debt Issuance, Targeting approx. $ 230 Million

GODREJCP
Godrej Seeds and Genetics Limited (GSGL), the holding company for Godrej Consumer Products, is poised for its third corporate bond offering within as many months, with the transaction expected to conclude by the end of October. The company intends to raise ₹20 billion (approximately $229 million) through the sale of shorter-duration debt instruments structured as Separately Transferable Redeemable Principal Part (STRPP) bonds. These bonds are projected to carry maturities ranging from three to four years. This forthcoming issuance follows two successful debt raises: an inaugural ₹20 billion offering in July and a subsequent ₹10 billion issue in recent months. The prior STRPP bonds were priced with coupons around 7.99%. Crisil has assigned an 'AA' rating to the bonds. The rating rationale underscores the company's "strong financial flexibility arising from GSGL's position as a holding company of Godrej Consumer Products, the flagship company of the Godrej group." This strategic debt activity highlights the Group's ongoing efforts to optimize its funding structure and capitalize on its strong market standing.
