Indian Hotels Company Ltd. (IHCL) Q2 FY26 Financial Performance and Strategic Update

IHCL has delivered a robust performance for the second quarter Q2 FY26 Financial Highlights (Year-on-Year) Revenue from Operations: The company achieved strong topline growth, with Revenue from Operations increasing by 11.8% to ₹2,040.8 crore, compared to ₹1,826 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Adjusted Net Profit: Underlying profitability remains strong, with an Adjusted Net Profit of ₹285 crore, marking a 15% increase. This figure provides a clear like-for-like comparison by excluding the one-off exceptional gain of ₹307 crore (from the TajSATS subsidiarization) recorded in Q2 FY25. EBITDA & Margin Expansion: Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) rose by 14.2% to ₹572 crore. Significantly, the EBITDA margin expanded by 60 basis points to 28.0%, up from 27.4% last year, highlighting improved operational efficiency. Strategic Growth & Operational Momentum IHCL continues to execute its aggressive growth strategy, achieving key milestones in H1 FY26: Portfolio Expansion: The company has accelerated its growth momentum, signing 46 new properties and opening 26 hotels in the first half of the fiscal year. Key Milestone: IHCL has surpassed 250 operating hotels in India, with a total domestic inventory of over 25,000 rooms. The total global portfolio now stands at 570 hotels. Partnership Integration: The strategic partnership with Clarks Group is progressing successfully, with 14 hotels already onboarded onto IHCL's sales and distribution network. The remaining portfolio is scheduled for migration in the coming months. Iconic Development: Construction has officially commenced on the 'Taj Bandstand' project in Mumbai, a landmark development for the company. Management Outlook MD & CEO Puneet Chhatwal stated that the outlook for the second half of the fiscal year remains strong.
