Infosys has secured a highly strategic, 15-year contract valued at £1.2 billion (over ₹14,000 crore) with the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA), confirming our role as a leading global partner for mission-critical public sector digital transformation. This landmark deal focuses on building and managing a next-generation, data-driven workforce management platform for the National Health Service in England and Wales. The solution will replace the incumbent Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system, which currently manages payroll for approximately 1.9 million NHS employees. Beyond system replacement, the platform is positioned as a strategic enabler for the NHS’s long-term workforce planning. The scope encompasses end-to-end streamlining of core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and career progression. Crucially, the initiative will leverage our proprietary Infosys Topaz AI platform and expertise to embed artificial intelligence, ensuring enhanced workforce planning capabilities, significant operational efficiencies, and a superior user experience. This substantial, long-term commitment is expected to drive consistent, high-value revenue streams and solidify our competitive market position within the European public sector. This represents a major validation of our strategy centered on large-scale, AI-infused digital modernization.
