KPITTECH
Following the release of the March quarter results and the subsequent investor presentation on May 6, 2026, shares of KPIT Technologies experienced a 5.1% decline, trading at ₹738.55. Financial Performance Highlights (Q4 FY26) Revenue: Recorded at ₹1,711 crore, representing a sequential (QoQ) growth of 5.8%. Profitability: Net profit rose 22.6% QoQ to ₹163 crore. EBITDA Margins: Narrowed by 60 basis points to 18.8%, impacted by a rise in employee benefit expenses (₹1,047 crore) and strategic reinvestments. Dividend: The Board has recommended a final dividend of ₹5.25 per share, pending shareholder approval. Strategic Transitions & FY27 Guidance Management has signaled that FY27 presents a more robust growth trajectory than FY26, citing enhanced revenue visibility and a significant market opportunity in Software Defined Vehicles (SDV). Program Transitions: Two major SDV programs are concluding in H1 FY27. While these would have contributed an additional 4% to 5% in sequential growth, the company expects revenue to be neutralized by the ramp-up of newly acquired accounts. Margin Outlook: FY27 margins are projected between 20.5% and 21.2%. This guidance accounts for increased capital allocation toward AI solutions, competency development, and expansion in high-growth markets including the USA, China, and India. Strategic Acquisition: Cymotive Technologies KPIT has announced a strategic investment in Cymotive Technologies, an Israeli automotive cybersecurity specialist. Transaction Structure: Initial investment of $10 million for a 26% stake, expected to close by mid-June 2026. Full Acquisition: A path to 100% ownership by mid-2029 is established, with a total valuation estimated between $60 million and $120 million based on performance milestones. Rationale: This move accelerates KPIT’s shift toward product- and licensing-led revenue streams, specifically in reusable platforms and cybersecurity—critical components for global OEMs.
