Key Financial and Operational Highlights (Q2 FY2026):
Revenue Growth: Revenue from operations surged by 26.4% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹1,265.6 crore, up from ₹1,001.4 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, underscoring strong business momentum.
Net Profit: Despite the significant revenue increase, net profit experienced a marginal decline of 2.8%YoY, settling at ₹361.2 crore compared to ₹371.5 crore in Q2 FY2025.
EBITDA and Margin Contraction: Operating-level EBITDA fell 24% YoY to ₹513.6 crore from ₹676 crore. This led to a substantial contraction in the EBITDA margin to 40.6% in the reporting quarter, a significant drop from 67.5% in the year-ago period.
Cargo Volumes: JSWIL reported handling 28.9 million tonnes of cargo, marking a 3% YoY increase. This growth was primarily fueled by strong showings at South West Port, Jaigarh Port, and Dharamtar Port, and supported by interim operations at the Tuticorin and JNPA liquid terminals.
Port Segment Performance: The core Port segment reported operational revenue growth of 10% to ₹1,103 crore and an operational EBITDA increase of 12% to ₹585 crore. This segment's margin improved slightly to 53% from 52%, demonstrating resilience and efficiency in its primary business. The overall results suggest that while JSW Infrastructure continues to execute on its growth strategy, as evidenced by the strong revenue and cargo volume increases, the significant reduction in the consolidated EBITDA margin warrants closer examination by investors regarding cost structures or shifts in the operational mix.#WatchOutFor#FundamentalViews#Post-ClosingCommentary#HiddenGems#EquityResearch
