KPI Green Energy Ltd. has announced a significant contract win valued at ₹696.50 crore from SJVN Ltd., a state-run power producer. This agreement marks a substantial addition to KPI Green's utility-scale renewable energy portfolio. Key Project Details Project: Development of a 200 MW (AC) solar power project. Location: The project will be situated at the GIPCL Renewable Energy Park in Khavda, Gujarat, a key renewable energy corridor in India. Scope of Work: The contract is comprehensive and structured through three agreements: Supply, EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), and O&M (Operation & Maintenance). Responsibilities: KPI Green Energy will manage the entire project lifecycle, including the supply of all plant and equipment, complete erection and construction, handling and insurance of equipment, and the final testing and commissioning. Post-Commissioning: The agreement includes a 3-year comprehensive O&M contract, securing a stable service revenue stream for KPI Green Energy after the project becomes operational (post-COD). Strategic & Financial Implications This contract is a significant validation of KPI Green's execution capabilities and credibility, as it involves a major Government of India enterprise (SJVN). According to Dr. Faruk G Patel, Chairman and Managing Director, this agreement underscores the company's "proven ability to deliver large-scale renewable energy projects." This project win expands KPI Green's total footprint in the strategic Khavda region to over 845 MWp (DC), solidifying its position as a key EPC service provider in one of India's most important renewable energy hubs.
