Manappuram Finance Q1 FY27 Earnings Update: Exceptional Profitability & Strategic Leadership Transition

Financial Highlights Manappuram Finance Ltd. delivered a stellar operational performance for the first quarter of FY27, marked by an exponential surge in bottom-line growth and robust core income generation. The company reported a consolidated net profit of ₹584.5 crore, registering an exceptional jump of over 320% (more than 4x) compared to the ₹138.3 crore reported in the corresponding quarter last year. This formidable profitability was anchored by strong asset yields and loan growth, which drove Net Interest Income (NII) up by 28.1% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹1,723.8 crore, compared to ₹1,345.3 crore in Q1 FY26. Shareholder Returns & Capital Strategy Dividend: Reflecting strong liquidity and earnings visibility, the Board declared an interim dividend of ₹1.00 per equity share (Face Value of ₹2.00), translating to a 50% payout ratio. The record date for the dividend distribution is set for August 17, 2026. Borrowing Limits Expansion: To support long-term Asset Under Management (AUM) growth, the Board proposed enhancing the company’s aggregate borrowing limit to ₹1 lakh crore. The firm plans to tap the debt markets through listed Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) and Commercial Papers. Fund Utilization: The Board has proposed a variation in the objects relating to the utilization of funds raised via the April 2025 preferential allotment to BC Asia Investments (XXV and XIV Limited). Both the borrowing limit increase and fund utilization changes are subject to shareholder approval.
