$SWARAJENG Swaraj Engines Ltd., a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., has reported its highest-ever sales and net profit for a single quarter during the June period. The results underscore robust operational growth despite a slight compression in operating margins. Financial Highlights (Year-over-Year) The company delivered strong double-digit growth across key financial metrics: Revenue: Surged by 21.5% to ₹588.4 crore, compared to ₹484.1 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Net Profit: Grew by 11% to ₹56 crore, up from ₹50 crore. EBITDA: Increased by 14.2% to ₹76.6 crore, compared to ₹67.1 crore previously. EBITDA Margin: Remained relatively steady at 13%, narrowing by approximately 90 basis points from 13.86% in the previous year. Operational Performance The robust financial results were primarily driven by a significant uptick in volume. Swaraj Engines recorded engine sales of 56,803 units during the quarter, representing a 15.8% increase from the 49,040 units sold in the same quarter of the previous year. Shareholding and Market Reaction At the close of the preceding March quarter, the company's equity was structured as follows: Promoters: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. maintains a controlling 52.11% stake. Institutional Investors: Mutual funds hold an 8.02% stake, anchored by institutions such as DSP Smallcap Fund and Parag Parikh Conservative Hybrid Fund. Retail Investors: Approximately 36,000 retail shareholders hold a combined 22.43% stake. Stock Movement: Following the earnings announcement, Swaraj Engines' stock initially rallied by up to 3%. However, shares subsequently relinquished those early gains, flattening out to trade at ₹3,715. Over the trailing one-month period, the stock has experienced a 7% decline, placing its year-to-date performance in negative territory.
