Vedanta Limited: Q3 FY26 Operational Update

Executive Summary Vedanta Limited has reported a robust operational performance for Q3 FY26, characterized by record-breaking production volumes across its core Aluminium and Zinc portfolios. Segmental Performance Highlights 1. Aluminium & Alumina (Record Performance) Aluminium: Achieved highest-ever quarterly production of 620 kilotonnes (kt), a 1% YoY increase. Alumina: Production surged 57% YoY to 794 kt. Key Drivers: Operational efficiencies at the Jharsuguda facility and the successful commissioning of Train II at the Lanjigarh refinery were pivotal in driving volume growth. 2. Zinc India (Highest-Ever Q3) Mined Metal: Reported highest-ever Q3 production of 276 kt, up 4% YoY. Refined Metal: Total output stood at 270 kt (+4% YoY). Refined zinc production grew 8% to 221 kt, while refined lead adjusted to 49 kt (-11%). Silver: Saleable silver production was recorded at 158 tonnes. 3. Zinc International Mined Metal: Production rose 28% YoY to 59 kt. Gamsberg Mine: A key growth driver, registering a 40% increase in production due to higher throughput. 4. Power & Energy Power Sales: Volumes expanded significantly by 40% YoY to 4,530 million units (MU). Capacity: Growth was supported by the commissioning of the Athena and Meenakshi power plants. Talwandi Sabo Power Ltd (TSPL) maintained plant availability at 76%. 5. Other Key Verticals Ferro Chrome (FACOR): Ore production jumped 54% YoY (103 kt), with ferrochrome output up 32% (24 kt). Copper India: Recorded the highest quarterly cathode production in seven years at 45 kt. Iron & Steel: Iron ore saleable production increased 3% YoY. Steel operations achieved record quarterly billet production of 285 kt. Oil & Gas: Average daily gross operated production stood at 84.9 kboepd, a decline of 15% YoY.
