Range Breakout After Accumulation – Early Stage Trend Reversal?
MAHSEAMLES
The chart reflects a well-defined accumulation phase followed by a breakout attempt near ₹580–₹590, suggesting a potential shift from sideways to bullish trend.
From an Elliott Wave perspective, the prolonged consolidation between ₹500–₹580 can be interpreted as a base-building corrective structure (Wave 2 or Wave 4). The recent breakout indicates the possible start of a fresh impulsive Wave 1 or Wave 3, which typically brings strong directional momentum if sustained above resistance.
On the momentum front, such breakouts are usually accompanied by a bullish MACD crossover, especially after a prolonged sideways phase. The contraction in price range earlier and the recent expansion hint at momentum expansion, signaling buyer strength entering the stock.
Looking at AVWAP, if anchored from the major swing high (around October), price has now reclaimed and sustained above AVWAP, which had previously acted as resistance throughout the consolidation phase. This level around ₹560–₹570 now becomes a strong support zone, indicating that the average participant is back in profit territory.
The breakout from a wide range after multiple retests also increases the probability of trend continuation rather than a false breakout, provided price sustains above ₹570.
From a fundamental standpoint:
The company benefits from demand in infrastructure and energy sectors
Improving operating performance and cyclical tailwinds support earnings growth
Balance sheet stability and operating leverage can enhance profitability in upcycles
Conclusion:
The structure suggests a high-probability breakout setup, with potential upside towards ₹630–₹650 in the near term. As long as price holds above ₹560–₹570, the bullish bias remains intact, and dips are likely to be bought rather than sold.
