AUROPHARMA
step-down subsidiary, Acrotech Biopharma Inc., has launched ADQUEY™ (difamilast 1%) ointment in the US, marking its entry into the dermatology market. The product is a non-steroidal topical treatment for mild-to-moderate atopic dermatitis in adults and paediatric patients aged 2 years and above.
ADQUEY is a topical phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitor, originally discovered and developed by Japan-based Otsuka Pharmaceutical and licensed to Acrotech for US commercialisation. According to IQVIA MAT, the addressable market for the product is estimated at approximately USD 1.3 billion for the twelve months ended July 2026.
To support the launch, Acrotech has established a dedicated dermatology business unit with specialised marketing, sales and field-based capabilities. The division will focus on engaging dermatologists, creating product awareness and supporting patients throughout their treatment journey.
The development marks an expansion of Acrotech’s commercial presence into a new therapeutic segment and strengthens Aurobindo Pharma’s specialty pharmaceutical portfolio. The company aims to build a dedicated dermatology platform that can support ADQUEY and potentially facilitate future opportunities in the specialty dermatology market.
